I have bought it for Samsung Galaxy S21 ultra. The black borders are a bit smaller than the actual display, but it is not a deal breaker. The problem is there is a circular whole in the fingerprint area ( it’s not mentioned in the description). It affect the keyboard use against typing since I use Swype/glide feature. Eventually it broke with manipulation at the whole area.

I had written a raving review of these Headphones on here and while that stands true… It is only true to the ps4 NOT THE PS5! What Astro has done to “support” Audio Mixing on the PS5 should be an embarrassment for them. They have released an HDMI Adapter to enable the Audio Mixing which you will lose if you connect the dock to the ps5 via USB. BUT (and this is a big BUT) The HDMI pass through connector on this Adapter is HDMI 2.0 NOT HDMI 2.1! The ps5 runs 120Hz 4k and REQUIRES HDMI 2.1. So this new adapter by Astro will throttle your HDMI connection down to 60Hz! This is absolutely not Acceptable! Astro (or should I say Logitech) you have lost my support and future business with this move. DO NOT BUY THESE HEADPHONES if you are buying a PS5!
Rated 3/5 stars primarily due to the docking station. As other uses have pointed out, it is extremely finicky to get the headset to charge on the charging station. I assumed that the previous users were just incompetent so I had went ahead and purchased it. But I agree, it can be a pain to have to try and line up the contacts each time and bend and twist the earmuffs to get it to sit properly. Battery life is closer to 8 hours than 14. Good sound on headset and microphone quality is decent. I imagine as the contact wear out that it will be even more difficult to charge in the future.
– Received in 3 days on 4 Oct 2021- Plugged into the pc and updated using the PC Astro Command Centre software- Worked fine with PS5 USB port (including chat audio)- Tweaked EQ and sounds great, used Rtings peak/dip graph as a guide- Set PS5 usb ports to always on in rest mode – rested PS5- A50s base turned off – had to charge headset using a usb cable direct- Needed use a usb-a male to usb-a male cable and use the charge port on base – worked, now charging (only) when not powered by PS5, base still remains off however- Installed Astro Command Centre software Windows 10 version (from MS Store) – this updated A50s again to a newer firmware than the PC software- Booted PS5, rested it again, then A50 base station stayed on! Now can use and charge headset when PS5 in rest mode – removed usb-a male charge cable (no longer needed to charge)- Plugged in 3.5mm audio cable from av-receiver to base station to listen to Shield TV audio – works but with loud buzz – watched TV with headset for an hour whilst PS5 in rest mode, even when not pluggefd into anything there is noise- Next day, A50 base is off and no longer powered by PS5…. can’t listen to av-receiver via aux port whilst base is not powered by PS5- Give up> Look at Bluetooth aptx-ll alternatives (Avantree DG80 for PS5 and Avantree Oasis for av-receiver)*Never had any issues with placement of the headphones in the base for charging. There is a magnetic pull and they just slot. Maybe they updated the design, as I read many comments on people have an issue with this.

The headset is great but there is one problem with it. It cut sound every now and then because of the interference from the WiFi which is 2.4 Ghz same as the base frequency, so if you have devices with the same frequency it will most likely happen to you. I tried every solution astro told me and even replace it with new one but nothing change. I’d recommend you go for the A40 tr or anothor headest if the issue happen to you.

Also ich bin ein Treuer Astro Kunde , mir kommt nichts anderes auf die Ohren oder in die Hand (Astro C40 TR).Habe die Vorgänger gehabt Astro A50 Gen 3 und war mehr als zufrieden habe mir auch dort das Mod Kit geholt da ich sofortiges Jucken bei Stoff bekommen , egal welches Headset. Deshalb is die Kunstleder Option für mich Optimal.Nun bin ich das erste mal enttäuscht. Diesmal im Gegensatz zu dem Mod Kit Gen 3 , ist es nicht komplett mit Kunstleder umhüllt der innere Rand ist wieder nur aus Stoff?! Warum, ich Frage mich warum hier 1 cm gespart wird . Stört mich mega da ich echt empfindlich bin. Hätte ich das gewusst hätte ich keine 300+ Euro wieder investiert.Werde mich auch an Astro einmal direkt wenden kann ja nicht sein dass ich jetzt auf eigene Kosten es mir umnähen lassen muss . Beschreibung is aufjeden Fall genau so wie bei dem Gen 3 Mod Kit. -.-3 Sterne weil der wichtigste Part nicht erfüllt wird : Kunstleder Ohrmuscheln .Wenn ich einen Massiv Schrank kaufe erwarte ich auch Massiv und nicht Teilmassiv.Verärgert .
I believe that the money being charged for a pair of Astro A50 should have these included in the set as a standard feature. £299 merits that.The ear pads surrounds are made of synthetic leather and it comes also with another top head section to clip in. It is also made of synthetic leather and is meant to provide a better level of cushioning and also make them noise cancelling without actually being noise cancelling.Astro does not have the technology that for example, Turtle Beach does. For the price, Turtle Beach 800x are better but that is for another day when you compare having to spend another £35 for these.They are not worth it. I am able to afford to pay for them but still resent the payment although for me this is a want. You also discover through fitting these how low cost these are especially when pulling apart the top of the headset (where it feels like you could almost break them) to change the top of head cushion piece.Sure a lot of money goes into the maintenance of the Astro Command Center App and marketing etc but these should really come as standard on the Astro A50.

Well built, sounds perfect to me, but my only complaint is that it has micro stutters sometimes where it loses connection to the base station for a split second, but if that’s not a deal breaker for you, then you can’t go wrong with it.
The headset it self is top quality from build to sound. Very light and nice desing. But the software is the worst ever, either it wont recognize the headset or it wont run at all (both in win11 and 10). Very bad support for very expensive headset.
Astro A50 gen4 is amazing, already have Astro gen3 from 2017.
A really nice upgrade, you lose out on a bit of comfort, but the increased bassines and depth that you get is worth it in my opinion plus it’s easier to clean, would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a warmer sound signature.

Cambió por completo el sonido, los bajos son mucho mas profundos. OJO: En el astro command center hay que poner el ecualizador en “A50 Mod Kit” para que se optimice el audio. No es el kit original, ese nunca lo encontré en México y al parecer no lo hay. Pero este kit no le pide mucho al original. El único detalle es que la esponja superior para la cabeza le queda un poco mas pequeña que la original (ver foto). De ahí en mas todo excelente.
Ich habe mit den Ohrpolstern die Originalen Stoffpolster meines A50 gen 3 ersetzt und muss sagen der Tragekomfort ist für PU Leder durchaus angenehm und insgesammt sitzt das Headset wieder festerKlanglich ist das Headset minimal dumpfer geworden kaum der Redewert, für normales Gameplay, Discord etc . Was die in den anders Sprachigen Rezensionen beschriebene bessere Geräuschunterdrückung angeht einfach Nope. Ich hab das Mod kit nicht aber nur diese Ohrpolster machen einfach 0 unterschied zu den Originalen Polstern ich kann meine Frau neben mir immernoch auf ihrer Tastatur schreiben hören.Die Ohrpolster sind also kein Ersatz für das Mod kit.Der Klebestreifen scheint recht gut zu sein und der Austausch war in 5 min mit Altkleberentfernung erledigt.Gesammt könnte das ganze meiner Meinung nach ruhig noch etwas billiger angeboten werden aber dennoch hat sich für mich der Kauf gelohnt da die alten gerissenen Ohrpolster weg sind und sich durch die neuen auch das Rutschen des Headsets wieder abstellen lies
Los compre para probarlos en los A40 ya que me parecía que los A50 y los A40 tenían las mismas medidas y y si es lo mismo, así que si los quieres para tus A40 vas a poder ponérselos sin problema.

Ich war Positiv überrascht von der Qualität!!
These fit perfectly fine. The padding is thicker. The space for your ear is slightly smaller. I now have to make some small adjustments to fit my ears in the right spot. The quality of the padding material is also lower quality that the OEM quality. Good enough if you need a replacement but if you want the same quality, I would look for a better set.

the ear pads are really good but beware, Do NOT change the inner ones from the original if u dont have too, the sound quality became so bad that i had to rip the new ones off and return the old inner pads.

When this headset first arrived, it came with barely any instructions except a very poorly explained sheet of pictogram instructions which left many questions unanswered. The Sound quality is fine and the headset is comfortable but for a premium pair of headsets the microphone is INCREDIBLY flimsy and feels out of place alongside the heavy plastic and metal of the rest of the A50. The base station is also too small for the headset and it doesn’t really feel comfortable being set on it.The Astro Command Center is a poor piece of software that actually has two versions! One is an “app” from the Microsoft store which is wholly inferior to the hidden version of the software which is buried deep in the equally poor support section of the Astro website. To top it all off, the Astro Command Center would not update the firmware and there is NO WAY to force it to update, only an option to “install firmware manually”.So where do you find the firmware update? On Astro’s website like a normal company? NOOOOO, you have to go a pinned support thread on Astro Gaming Subreddit to find the latest firmware.During usage of these headphones, new and novel problems would crop up almost daily. First, the headset would switch to PlayStation mode when removing the A50 from the base station despite the base station NEVER having been set on anything other than PC mode which necessitated flicking the base station to PS mode and back to PC to get it working again before it would do the same thing later. Random disconnects of sound and the latest issue which caused me to refund my purchase: Despite both the Base Station and Astro Command Center showing that the Headset is 100% charged, it would immediately shut off the second I remove it from the base station. No amount of finagling solved this problem.Save your money and buy a Steelseries Instead.
Well built, sounds perfect to me, but my only complaint is that it has micro stutters sometimes where it loses connection to the base station for a split second, but if that’s not a deal breaker for you, then you can’t go wrong with it.

the build quality is very poor, its all cheap plastic. also the head bad came damaged and even though i connected the headphones to the pc. it just doesnt pair properly, the headphones dont work properly
